My New Years Resolutions with Opendoor

This post is sponsored by Opendoor.  All opinions are my own.

Just like that we are saying goodbye to 2018 and hello to a whole new year of making new memories and sticking to resolutions. Have you taken the time to think about what your New Year’s resolutions will be for 2019? After much thought I have really taken into consideration what I would like to focus on this year and my top three resolutions are truly understanding the products we as a family are using daily, focusing on my health, and lastly finding the best option to buy our dream home by the end of this new year. I know we all start a list of resolutions every year that we don't follow through with. That is why I made sure to choose resolutions that were true to my heart so they could be reachable goals.

My first resolution is understanding the products we as a family are using daily. I will be completely honest with you that I have not been one to really read an ingredient label when it comes to purchasing simple things like antiperspirants or cleaning products. Believe it or not, things we use daily are filled with chemicals you would have never imagined. Most people wear antiperspirant to avoid odor but one of the “sweat-blocking ingredients” found in many antiperspirants is aluminum. In recent years questions have been raised about whether the aluminum in antiperspirants can contribute to the development of breast cancer. You are also probably aware that many of the cleaning products you use every day have harmful chemicals in them, but you likely don’t think there is much alternative. However, natural products like baking soda, soap powder or lemon and hot water often work just as well without covering your home in toxic chemicals. Here is to reading the labels and choosing better products in 2019!

My second resolution is focusing on my health this year! I have tried so many "diets" in the past to get on a healthy kick and then just give up. It can be very hard to completely change your daily eating habits. Especially if you are a person who isn't too fond of change, like me. Not to mention life happens and you aren't always in ideal situations to make the healthiest choices. Since I have tried so many different things in my past, I do know what works best for my body. I have learned eating healthy is the key. Even if there are some days that I can't workout, I know I can still make healthier eating choices. This is the year I want to be healthier for my daughter and my family. I want to be confident in myself and love every part of me. Here is too finding self love in 2019!

Last but certainly not least this is finally the year we plan on buying our first home! I couldn't be happier! As young parents who have always rented, we are finally able to start our buying process and it's such a good feeling. After searching high and low for the best way to buy our new home I came across Opendoor! After looking long and hard Opendoor made it very clear that whether you're selling or buying a home, they are there to simplify the process to help you get to the next chapter in your life. As a busy stay at home mom, what caught my eye the most was I didn't need an appointment to view any of these homes I was interested in on Opendoor. They offer a self-touring option from 6am-9pm daily, no appointments necessary. Which I thought was absolutely amazing as it fits around everyone's schedule, especially my husband’s. You simply use the Opendoor app to browse homes in your area (they’re currently right here in Orlando and almost 20 other metro areas nationwide)  and the app actually serves as a virtual key, allowing you to unlock a home when you choose to do a self-guided tour. The best part is once you fall in love with a home, they make it so simple to make an offer, right on the app. I don't think it can get any easier than that! Here is to buying our first home in 2019!
