Raised Real Review.
Hey hey mamas! I know some of us have struggled with either a picky eater when feeding your little babes or finding a yummy healthy alternative to add to your growing child's meals. I came across Raised Real and truly fell in love with their company. They are able to relate to us parents who are constantly researching recipes, hunting down the necessary ingredients and preparing foods that take up time that us parents don't always have. Raised Real came up with a delivery service of REAL, unprocessed, unrefined, freshly frozen foods that are easily able to be stored right in your freezer. What I loved the most was that these meals were made for us to choose how we want to parent our own children, whether we want to puree the foods for younger children, mash it up, serve it as finger foods or even make it a healthy side dish for your older children / you! So lets start from the beginining of what Raised Real truly has to offer: Their meals are carefully packaged in a cooler designed to keep your meals at the right temperature. Their meal packets are BPA free and the cooler is reusable!! How fun! It's also delivered straight to your door, which is so convenient for us parents. Each of their meals contain organically sourced, plant based, whole ingredients you can see, with 8 grams of sugar or less, ringing in at only $4.75 per meal. Each shipment also contains meal cards that give a breakdown of all of the ingredients as well as also providing nutritional information on how each meal can help your child's growth. Another perk about joining Raised Real is now you will be apart of their exclusive text hotline for all of your children's food and nutrition-related questions. They know us parents have enough to remember, so they removed the need for logins and passwords, they are always just a text away, which I believe is amazing! Now on to how we have used Raised Real in our home: MY daughter is almost four and I will admit she is a pretty picky eater. As much as I have tried to expand her taste buds, sometimes she just is not having it. When we received our first Raised Real shipment, I allowed her to be the one to open the cooler and see what was actually inside. The bag that each meal comes in is completely clear so you are able to see all of the fresh ingredients and natural colors right inside. From there she saw the green colors of broccoli and peas, as well as the darker colors of beets and dates. I had her choose one that looked the most appealing to her and from there it became a new side to try for her meals. We started off with the broccoli, green beans, chickpeas, flax seeds and avocado oil. First off let me say this sounds so delicious to me, I was SO excited to try it with her. Since the meals come frozen, you want to prepare them correctly so they taste just as good. The preparation is super simple and only requires to pour the contents into a cooking pan with 3 tbsp of water. From there let is cook and VOILA! It's ready to be served. I personally added some salt for a little extra flavor and once I served it to my little babe she actually ate it all! I was SO surprised that she loved it as much as she did. I did pair it with grilled chicken and seasoned brown rice to make a complete meal. Another one of her favorites was the beet, sweet potato, date, cinnamon and coconut butter. She enjoyed that as a sweet snack with a little bit of extra cinnamon added and it was a TOTAL HIT as well! I honestly always tried to just give her the traditional dinner sides of just green beans or just broccoli and she didn't like it. But I believe when mixed with other delicious ingredients like these Raised Real meals, all of the flavors truly meshed and she was able to love it.
