Sweet Defeat- 30 Day Challenge.

Hey Y'all! Most of you have come from my instagram page to read my weekly blogs, but if you don't already know my name is Cortney, I am 23 and live in Orlando FL. If I am being completely honest with y'all currently my diet isn't the best as a mama i am always on the go and really just grab whatever is convenient at the time. I occasionally get into healthy kicks and try to eat better but then fall off the wagon. I am human and always crave something sweet! I try not to consume too much sugar on a daily basis but if you know me you know I love coffee which clearly depending on the drinks that involves a decent amount of sugar. I try my best to keep things like that as healthy as can be. I find myself craving sweets more so towards the end of the night when I am winding down (mom life). I am working with a wonderful company called Sweet Defeat! I have heard nothing but amazing things about. Sweet Defeat is the only clinically proven, natural lozenge that stops sugar cravings in seconds. I have joined their 30 day detox challenge and am so excited to see the results that will come. I am hoping to loose a few pounds while using these lozenges especially when i start to crave something sweet! I have never tried Sweet Defeat before but I have read nothing but great things about it. To be completely raw and honest with y'all, I have tried many many different types of diets to help me loose this extra baby weight I am still carrying around. Some have been a complete bust and some have worked only if I continue to stick to them. But lets be real, i like to eat pizza, drink wine and live life occasionally.  Lastly, I do have nutritional goals, overall I would like to better my health. As my daughter starts VPK this year, I am excited to have a few hours each day to myself which will allow me some free time to work out and focus on my health and nutrition better. I don't want to say " I want to loose xxx amount of weight" realistically I just want to become a healthier version of myself! I am so excited to update y'all on my 30 day detox challenge below.

It's been 30 days post detox, I have been feeling great! As I tracked myself each day I noticed drastically how my sugar intake was decreasing daily. It started out slow first and each day I craved less and less. I was very surprised that I actually lost 5lbs while monitoring my sugar. I was being hopeful that I could loose some weight on this but honestly wasn't expecting to loose anything. I didn't really notice any other differences in my health besides loosing a few pounds. I always carried the little individual lozenges any purse so whenever I was out and about, I still had some with me. Which I think was the most helpful as when I am out in the car or running errands I catch myself getting whatever I'm craving or whatever is most convenient. So when I wanted something sweet or something I probably shouldn't have I would just grab a Sweet Defeat lozenge out of my purse and BAM! I know you are probably wondering how exactly is one little lozenge going to just curb my craving.. well here is the real breakdown: there is something called the gymnema sylvestre leaf which has been used for centuries by ancient cultures for its ability to block sweet receptors that cause sugar cravings. There is also Zinc in the lozenge which is used as an essential mineral. It works synergistically with gymnema to block sugar-receiving taste buds on the tongue. It really is crazy how it all works! But I am truly loving it! As I said above if you know me, you know I am a coffee girl, I love it and when I want something sweet that is usually my go to! The hardest part of this detox would have had to be in the beginning trying to stay away from the coffee. I will be honest, I did treat myself here and there which I believe in moderation so I tried my best to only have one as a treat here and there! I feel as if i have reached my goals! For one, dedicating yourself to anything for more than a week when it isn't your "normal" is a great goal! We are all so caught up in life that sometimes it can be hard to take care of ourselves. I am happy that I was able to dedicate myself to this, even if I did have a few slacking days. I'm only human! But i do know Sweet Defeat was there for me and helped me on days that I needed more of a push to keep myself on track. I have attached the link below for anybody who is interested in checking Sweet Defeat out! Thank you all for reading! I can't wait ro update you in 3 months from now when I incorporate the gym + healthy eating + sweet defeat!
